Well-Child Visits in the First 15 Months of Life
This measure describes the percentage of members who were continuously enrolled in the plan during 2009, and who received six or more well-child visits with a primary care provider during their first 15 months of life.
Why is this important?
During the first year of life, infants undergo many changes in abilities, motor skills and physical, social and emotional growth. Regular check-ups give doctors a chance to check for any problems and talk to parents about healthy habits and caring for their child.
Find your plan score. Look for differences of at least 4%. Smaller differences usually are not significant.
