If your child's Medi-Cal coverage is ending

You can apply for Healthy Families up to three months before your child's coverage ends. You can do that if one of these things is going to happen:

• Your child is turning 1 year old and losing no-cost Medi-Cal. Your child's Healthy Families coverage will start the first day of the month after your child's first birthday.
• Your child is turning 6 years old and losing no-cost Medi-Cal. Your child's Healthy Families coverage will start the first day of the month after your child's sixth birthday.
• Your child's no-cost Medi-Cal ends.

Please submit your most current Notice of Action from Medi-Cal.
