Healthy Families Announces its Web-Based Training for CAAs and Certified Plan Staff

The Healthy Families Program (HFP) is responsible for coordinating training efforts for new and existing CAAs and Certified Plan Staff throughout the State. HFP is pleased to announce the creation of a new web-based training for NEW CAAs and Certified Plan Staff. This website is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This exciting new course will allow new CAAs and Certified Plan Staff to be trained anywhere throughout the State. The CAA will no longer have to wait for a class to be scheduled in their area. Existing CAAs and Certified Plan Staff can visit the Refresher Course to maintain current Healthy Families Program information.

If you are interested in taking the web-based training to become a CAA or a Certified Plan Staff, or have any questions, please contact the EE/CAA Help Line at 1-800-279-5012 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or send an e-mail to ee-caaliaison@maximus.com .

In order to be a CAA or Certified Plan Staff, you must be affiliated with an Enrollment Entity (EE). The Help Line can provide you with information about EEs in your community or assist your organization to become an EE (click on the ITP link at the left of this page for the forms and instructions). The CAA or Certified Plan Staff candidate must contact the EE they wish to be affiliated with and get their consent to provide application assistance through their agency.

Once you have identified the EE you wish to be affiliated with (and signed the appropriate forms), the staff at the EE/CAA Help Line will ask you to fill out a CAA Agreement and assist you with the web-based training pre-registration process. Once this has been completed, you are ready to complete the web-based training course. The WBT course takes about 5 hours.

Certified Plan Staff must review the Marketing Component, sign the Code of Conduct Agreement, and send it to the HFP. When the Code of Conduct is received, you will be linked to your Plan's Enrollment Entity number.
