CAA Numbers Reissued with an "M"

When originally trained, some Certified Application Assistants (CAAs) were issued CAA identification numbers that did not include an alpha character following the eight-digit series. As of July 19, 2006, an "M" has been added to the end of these eight-digit identification numbers to aid in providing reimbursements to all complete and successful applications assisted by CAAs. CAAs must use the reissued number (including the "M") when submitting paper applications or using the Health-e-App system.
