How the Plan Works

• You choose a Primary Care Physician, who will be your child's regular doctor.
• Your child's regular doctor will refer him or her to a specialist when they need one.
• You may switch your child's regular doctor as often as once monthly.
• Prescriptions are covered at participating pharmacies. Show your prescription and Health Net ID card at the pharmacy.
• Doctors use our approved list of drugs containing both generic and brand name medications.
• For after-hours care, contact the office of one of the doctors in our network or call the 24-hour nurse advice line for immediate response.
• In case of emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
